Membership
Membership in the Kingdom of Zion is for those who already have a personal witness of Jesus Christ, desire to follow Him fully, and are willing to give their lives over to Him. The Church publishes its public teachings for sincere people who desire to understand the laws of Zion. Formal preparation for membership begins only after Jesus Christ personally calls a person to this work.
Those who are still learning who Jesus Christ is, or who have not yet developed a personal witness and relationship with Him, are encouraged to meet with missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and begin with the restored gospel of faith, repentance, baptism for the remission of sins, and the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The first required reading for anyone seeking membership is the Doctrine of the Law. Studying does not make a person a member or establish a divine calling. Jesus Christ must personally call the person, after which the Church follows the required process of teaching, preparation, interviews, and confirmation through the prophet.
Calling and Membership
Begin by reading and studying the Doctrine of the Law published through this website. It introduces the laws, covenants, responsibilities, and way of life required in Zion. It is required reading for every person seeking membership, and the person must be willing to accept and adhere to the doctrine, laws, covenants, and responsibilities that apply to this work. Studying does not make a person a member. Jesus Christ must personally call each person, and that calling must be confirmed through the prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Kingdom of Zion.
Begin with the Doctrine of the Law
The Doctrine of the Law is required reading for every person seeking membership. The person studies it and the other teachings published by the Church, and must be willing to accept and adhere to the laws, covenants, responsibilities, and way of life required in Zion.
Through prayer, the Holy Ghost, scripture, dreams, visions, or other revelation, the person receives a personal witness that Jesus Christ is calling them to the Kingdom of Zion.
The Lord also reveals the person’s calling to the prophet. The witness received by the individual and the witness received through the prophet confirm one another.
The person receives further teaching about Jesus Christ, the Doctrine of the Law, the laws of Zion, celestial living, covenant responsibilities, and the changes required in their life. They pray, repent, ask questions, and begin living what they are learning.
The person completes the required interviews so their understanding, willingness, preparation, and spiritual witness can be confirmed. Their baptism and endowment are also confirmed. If a required ordinance has not been received through recognized priesthood authority, it must be received.
The person covenants to obey the laws of Zion and is sealed as a spiritual spouse within their generation. This sacred covenant expresses complete faithfulness, unity, belonging, and devotion to Christ and all of the members of Zion.
At this step, the person becomes a full covenant member of the Kingdom of Zion and accepts the responsibility to live as part of a Zion people—seeking one heart and one mind, sharing, caring for others, and living the laws of the Celestial Kingdom together.
Two Churches, Distinct Works
We believe Jesus Christ established both works for different but connected purposes in His plan to gather Israel, save His children, and prepare Zion.
We believe Jesus Christ established The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and gave it priesthood authority for a worldwide work. That work includes gathering Israel throughout the nations, preaching faith in Jesus Christ and repentance for salvation and the remission of sins, administering saving ordinances, and performing ordinances for the dead.
Through this work, people are invited to come unto Christ, receive His gospel, make sacred covenants, and begin preparing for greater light and responsibility.
We believe the Lord established The Church of Jesus Christ of the Kingdom of Zion to receive and prepare those whom Jesus Christ personally calls and brings to this work, teach the laws and covenant life of Zion, and help a people live the laws of the Celestial Kingdom in their fullness.
The Latter-day Saint Church teaches and administers the gospel and ordinances that prepare people to come unto Christ. In the Kingdom of Zion, those whom Christ calls are taught to live those celestial laws together as one heart, one mind, and one people.
The Church of Jesus Christ of the Kingdom of Zion is a separate and independent religious organization. It is not legally or institutionally affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ordinance Recognition
We recognize priesthood authority and ordinances received through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, while also teaching the additional covenants required for full membership in Zion and for exaltation.
We recognize baptisms and endowments received by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as valid ordinances performed through priesthood authority given by Jesus Christ. A person who has received these ordinances does not need to receive them again simply because they are entering this Church or preparing for Zion.
These ordinances do not by themselves make a person a member of Zion. Each person must still receive the Lord’s calling, study the Doctrine of the Law, complete the required preparation and interviews, and willingly accept the laws and covenants of Zion.
We recognize the sealings of husbands and wives performed in temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as valid ordinances and conditional promises made through priesthood authority.
A temple sealing can remain eternal and everlasting only as the husband and wife continue to come unto Jesus Christ, repent and change, become like Him, remain faithful to their covenants, and accept and live the laws of the Celestial Kingdom as those laws are taught in the Kingdom of Zion.
The sealing received in the Kingdom of Zion is a separate covenant and ordinance required of every child of God who desires exaltation. In this sealing, the person covenants to obey the laws of Zion and is sealed to Jesus Christ as His spiritual spouse and as part of His covenant bride.
This sealing does not replace the eternal marriage covenant of husband and wife. It joins each person to Jesus Christ and to the covenant people of Zion.
Exaltation requires more than receiving an ordinance. A person must become willing and able to live as one heart, one mind, and one people. Those who are unwilling to love unconditionally, share, serve, forgive, care for others, and become one with God’s people are not prepared to abide the laws of the Celestial Kingdom.
The Wedding Feast
God the Father invites His children to the wedding feast of His Son. Jesus Christ taught that those who enter must be properly prepared and clothed in the wedding garment.
His grace makes redemption and transformation possible, yet He still requires repentance, obedience, discipleship, covenant faithfulness, and spiritual preparation. The purpose of these requirements is not exclusion, but to prepare His people to dwell in His presence and participate faithfully in the joy of His Kingdom.
